Where in Delaware ??

Wilmington, the largest city in the State of Delaware, was first colonized by settlers from Sweden (in 1638), later from Holland (you really see them every where ...) to end up as a British colony in 1664. A very interesting (and important) landmark is located on a 235 acres domain, along the banks of the Brandywine (cheers !) River.
Hagley is the name of the site where Eleutherian du Pont (a French immigrant) founded the famous gunpowder works in 1802.  It provides a glimpse at early American industry and includes restored mills, a workers' community, and the ancestral home and gardens of the du Pont family. The museum grounds provide some of the most beautiful scenery in Brandywine valley no matter what the season. This location is really unique and a must see while in the region. Just look for yourself right HERE.
