Hydrating in Havre de Grace ...

Our destination last weekend was Havre de Grace (Maryland), named after the port city, Le Havre in France. It's location on the headwaters of the Chesapeake Bay and the outlet of the Susquehanna River makes it popular for recreation. Initially, the weather was pretty bad, lots of rain, so it felt like we were hydrating our skin. Later in the afternoon, the sun appeared but it remained, because of this freezing wind, rather cool. HdG is a nice, cosy, little town and the boardwalk that runs the length of the shore from the Concord Point Lighthouse to the yacht basin is really worth going there, not to mention the tasteful seafood restaurants ...
