Union Station's marble floors echo with the footsteps of over 32 million people each year, making it the most visited site in all of Washington, D.C. Isn't that something ?? It also was the location for a number of well known movies like "Mr. Smith goes to Washington", "Hannibal", "The Sentinel", "Along came a Spider" or "Collateral Damage". In order to be featured in the film Minority Report (with Tom Cruise), parts of the station had to be configured to look like a futuristic model consistent with the film’s 2
054 setting. On our way to the station we passed the National Law Enforcement Memorial. It honors all of America's federal, state and local law enforcers. Inscribed on the Memorial's blue-gray marble walls are the names of more than 17,500 officers who have been killed in the line of duty, dating back to the first known death in 1792. Pix : click HERE.
