Yves stayed at our place during the Christmas holiday period, a trip that had been planned earlier last year, together with his beloved sweetheart, Carla. Unfortunately, destiny of life decided to pursue a different course ... Carla, she struggled so courageously, passed away, much too young.
We were so glad that Yves, supported by his families, agreed to be with us.
Of course, Yves didn't came all the way from (the great city of) Koekelare to Rockville, USA to hang in our benches. No way !! A kind of secret, well filled program was accurately fixed together and it was followed with military precision (could it be otherwise ... ?).

~ the Washington DC Mall, walking all the way from the White House to Lincoln, Jefferson and the Capitol (with every interesting spot in between).
~ the National Zoo, Washington DC's 163-acre zoological park, set within the Rock Creek National Park and featuring more than 400 different species of animals.
~ Mount Vernon and Arlington Cemetary, two phenomenal landmarks in the DC area.
~ Annapolis, capital of the US State of Maryland and home of the world-famous US Naval Academy.
~ New York, the Big Apple, the leading global city that never sleeps.
~ the US Air & Space museum and the National museum of Natural History, both fascinating places of all kind of discoveries.
~ the US Marine Corps museum in Quantico (Virginia), a lasting tribute to the US Marines.
~ Great Falls and the Chesapeake - Ohio Canal, an exploration of the wonderful nature, so close to Washington DC.
